POOL CARE TIPS

DAILY POOL CARE

Empty skimmer baskets and pump basket.

Run POOL FILTER SYSTEM at least 8-10 hours per day. If you do not have a pool timer you will need to remember to turn filter on manually everyday.

Best time to run filter is during the day rather than at night.

Add chlorine to your pool on a daily basis 3" Slow Dissolving Tablets can be added to the skimmers. AUTOMATIC CHLORINATOR or FLOATING CHLORINATOR once a week rather than daily. Granular chlorine or Quick Tabs must be added daily.

Check the filter to be sure it is running at the recommended pressure.

If you use a POOL HEATER, be sure to turn the heater off at least 20 minutes before your filter system turns off.

Brush down the entire pool using a Pool brush attached to your Pool Pole.

Adjust pool chemicals following testing.

Add chlorine, weekly if using 3" Tablets...daily if using Granular Chlorine or Quick Tablets.

Shock or Super Chlorinate pool.

Check the water level of the pool; maintain the water level at the middle of the skimmer.

How To Vacuum Your Pool

To efficiently vacuum your pool you will first need to concentrate all the suction from the filtration system to the skimmer that is going to be used for vacuuming. This can be achieved by one of several methods. Close valve that controls the main drain, and then close the valve that controls the skimmer, which will not be used for your vacuuming hookup. If there is no valve to concentrate all the suction to the one skimmer you can use a winterizing plug to help close of the unused skimmer during vacuuming.

The most important procedure to ensure proper suction for vacuuming is to be sure to properly eliminate all air from your vacuum hose and prime the hose with water. The following method will help in this step of vacuuming.

Attach the vacuum head to the telescopic pool pole.

Attach the vacuum hose to the pole. Be sure to attach the swiveling end of the hose to the vacuum head.

Feed the hose, slowly and straight down into the pool water. Be sure to check that the hose is completely filled with water when the end reaches the waters surface.

By placing your hand over the open end of the hose, so that no air enters the hose. Firmly attach it to the skimmer.

Open the air relief at the filter to release any air in the system and then begin vacuuming.
